Description

Cycling Association of Yukon is sanctioning the Yukon Road Cycling Championships put on by U Kon Echelon Biking Club. The championships will take place as a 4 stage race. There will be an individual hill climb, a short-distance circuit race, a criterium, and a road race.

What is a stage race
? A stage race means all of the race times get added together for a total. To win overall, you must participate in each race. You can participate in only one or two races, but you will not be in contention for overall.

Individual Time Trial

Wednesday, July 24th @ 7 pm: Prologue Hill Climb Time Trial (Takhini Broomball arena up to top of Ponderosa/Pine Street via the bike path), 5 km distance

Circuit

Thursday, July 25th @ 7 pm: Circuit Race (0.75 km loop) on Dragonfly pond, in Whistlebend, 30 - 45 minute duration

Criterium

Friday, July 26th @ 7 pm: Criterium on Condor Road (1.5 km loop), through corner at Beringia, turn around at Transportation Museum. 30 - 50 minute duration, distance to be announced

Road Race

Saturday, July 27th @ 10 am: Robert Service Way Race along Multi-use Path (6.5 km loop). Youth/Beginner Adult/Para Distance: 45 km / Elite Adult: 65 - 78 km

Please arrive at least 1/2 hour early for each event so they can start on time. Food, drink, and prizes available at each race!

Circuit Race
Meet at Dragonfly Pond, Casca Blvd in Whistlebend. Park at new Elementary School if driving.

Criterium
Park at Beringia Center Parking Lot (Far side)

Road Race
Park at Beringia Center (Far side)

$20 for non-members
