Description
The Yukon Downhill (DH) Mountain Bike Championships is a territorial race event that will crown Yukon's top downhill racers in multiple categories.
Expert (advanced) riders will race Lefty Loosey while Sport (intermediate) riders will race Drop the Clutch. You can choose which category you want to enter during registration.
Each person gets 1 practice run and 1 race run.
Event schedule
- 12 p.m. Chairlift opens.
- 1 p.m. All racers at start gate/top of run for riders meeting.
- 2 p.m. Expert race start on Lefty Loosey.
- 3:30 p.m. Sport race start on Drop the Clutch.
- 5:15 p.m. BBQ, awards ceremony and draw prizes at bottom.
- 5:45 p.m. Last chairlift up.

Register for event
There are a total of 30 entry spots available.
Location
Mount Sima. 770 Mount Sima Road.
Cost
Adults (17 and older) are $35. You also need an annual CAY ($60) or single event ($30) membership to participate.
Youth (under 17) are $25. You also need an annual CAY ($40) or single event ($30) membership to participate. You must be 10 years of age or older.
What you’ll get with your registration
As part of your registration you will receive:
- Live race timing
- Yukon DH Mountain Bike Championships race plate for your bike
- Burger and pop (1 per person)
- Amazing prizes to be won
Each participant must also:
- Buy a Mount Sima bike park lift ticket for Saturday, August 13
- Sign a printed waiver at Mount Sima
